Wanda M. Meschewski

Wanda M. Meschewski (Wojtkiewicz) age 100, passed away on January 11, 2023 in Cary, Illinois. She was born on September 18, 1922 in Niles, Illinois to Xavier and Marie Wojtkiewicz.

She is survived by her loving children, James (Penny) Meschewski, Christine (Richard) Fetzer, Robert (Denise) Meschewski, Nancy (Don) Burroway, John (Debra) Meschewski and Carolyn (Bill) Frisch; her 17 grandchildren; her 19 great -grandchildren and many nieces & nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James W. Meschewski; her infant daughter, Carrie Meschewski; her grandson, Marc R. Meschewski and her 10 siblings.

Wanda enjoyed gardening and her flowers. She and her husband loved to travel, especially to Florida and Las Vegas. She loved her Chicago Cubs and playing bingo with the “ladies”. Her Sunday gatherings with her large family was a regular ritual enjoyed by all.

A memorial visitation will be held on Wednesday, January 18, 2023 beginning at 9:30 a.m. along with a Time of Sharing to begin at 11:00 a.m. all at Willow Funeral Home & Cremation Care 1415 W. Algonquin Rd., (one half mile east of Randall Rd.) Algonquin/Lake in the Hills.

The burial of Wanda's urn will follow at River Valley Memorial Gardens in West Dundee, Illinois.
