Walter A. Maklezow Jr.

Walter A. Maklezow Jr. age 48, of Algonquin, Illinois passed away July 24, 2025 at Northwestern Memorial Hospital in Chicago. He was born in Arlington Heights, Illinois on June 18, 1977 the son of Walter Maklezow and Susan (Johnson) Maklezow.

In 1995, Wally met Suz, married in 2005 and welcomed their son in 2016.  Wally went on to become Shurek’s primary caregiver.  Wally loved watching wrestling, playing with his dogs and collecting action figures.  He enjoyed spending time with friends and family.

Walter is survived by his wife, Suzanne Maklezow; his son Shurek Maklezow; his mother, Susan (Alfred) Schuld; his brother, John (Jacqueline) Maklezow; his sister, Alexandria (fiancé Nate) Maklezow; many Aunts, Uncles, cousins, nieces, nephew, great niece & great nephews.

Walter was preceded in death by his father, Walter A. Maklezow Sr. his grandparents & uncles.

A memorial visitation will be held on Saturday, August 9, 2025 from 1:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Willow Funeral Home & Cremation Care 1415 W. Algonquin Rd., (one half mile east of Randall Rd.) Algonquin/Lake in the Hills.
