Waldemar "Wally" Siwek age 70, of Lake in the Hills, Illinois passed away at his home on May 11, 2024. He was born on August 2, 1953 in Poznan, Poland the son of Jozef Siwek and Anna Siwek Nicpon. He served in the Polish Army. Wally came to the United States with his twin brother Marek on April 24, 1977. Wally and his wife Ewa, knew each other in Poland, and she came to the United States after him, and they settled down together and married in 1978. They had their two sons, Bobby and Mike. Wally was a dziadzia to Logan, Madelyn, Jake and Chris. He was a loyal man, a loving son, husband, a dad, an uncle, a dziadzia (grandfather), a brother, a brother in law, and a friend who will be greatly missed. If you knew Wally, he was born to be a fisherman, his passion for fishing was deep. It was always rise and shine, " it’s fishing time! "
He is survived by his wife, Ewa; his children, Bobby (Agnes) and Mike (Andrea); our grandchildren, Logan, Madelyn, Jake, and Chris; his brothers, Zbyszek, Jozef (Malgosia) and sister, Maria, and Renata (Leszek); his sister in law, Irena Siwek and Marianna Siwek along with many nieces and nephews who all cherished him deeply. He is preceded in death by his, parents, and his brothers, Sylwek, Zdzislaw, and Marek.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, May 16, 2024 from 4:00 PM to 9:00 PM at Willow Funeral Home & Cremation Care 1415 W. Algonquin Rd., (one half mile east of Randall Rd.) Algonquin/Lake in the Hills.
Funeral Services will be held on Friday morning May 17, 2024 with prayers to begin at 11:00 AM from the Willow Funeral Home chapel and proceed to St. Margaret Mary Catholic Church in Algonquin for a Funeral Mass to be Celebrated at 12 Noon.
Services will conclude at the church.
