Wally Hritsuk

Wally J. Hritsuk age 77, of Algonquin, passed away on June 7, 2023 at Harbor House Assisted Living Facility in Wheeling. He was born in Chicago, Illinois on May 15, 1946 the son of Walter J. Sr. and Theresa (Kafka) Hritsuk.

Wally loved watching the White Sox and Blackhawks. He also enjoyed bowling, taking walks, jogging, ice cream, coaching youth sports, and spending time with his family. He played many sports including hockey, soccer, and baseball.

Wally leaves behind his daughter, Beth (Ron) McKinney and his son, Eric Hritsuk; his three grandchildren, Elle, Mia and Casey. He also leaves behind his sister, Judy Nunamaker and sisters-in-law, Merry (Danny) Hritsuk and Margaret (Burger) Neel as well as many nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his loving wife of 41 years, Elaine Marie (Burger) Hritsuk and by his twin brother, Danny Hritsuk.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association or Lungevity.

The family is holding a "Celebration of Wally’s Life" on Saturday, July 8, 2023 from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at Stonewood Ale House in Schaumburg.
