Virginia "Ginny" Bosacki

Virginia “Ginny” Bosacki (Mertes) age 92, of Algonquin, Illinois and formerly of Schiller Park, Illinois passed away at Alden Estates Senior Living in Huntley, Illinois on January 28, 2025 with her loving family at her side. She was born in Chicago, Illinois on October 4, 1932, the daughter of Earl and Hazel (Rich) Mertes.

Ginny cherished time with her family and friends, caring for everyone as if they were her own. She enjoyed fishing, and looked forward to the annual White Bass Run. Ginny always included her children and grandchildren in her hobbies, whether it be putting together a jigsaw puzzle, working out the Sunday crossword, or crocheting gifts stitched with love.

She is survived by her loving children, Nanci (Bob) Noble, William (Chris) Bosacki and Linda Zabkiewicz; her cherished grandchildren, Timothy (Shauna) Beck, Lisa (Danny) Fugett, Michelle (Nick) Hevesy and Erica (Luis) Duran; her cherished great-grandchildren, Lincoln, Kellan, Ryan, Jay and Cecilia.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband John W. Bosacki and her sister, Patricia Frer.

Family & friends will gather on Monday, February 3, 2025 for a visitation to begin at 9:00 AM directly at St. Mary Catholic Church 10307 Dundee Rd., Huntley with a Funeral Mass to follow at 10:00 AM.
