Ursula Richardson (Steinmaier) age 66, of Lake in the Hills and formerly of Algonquin, passed away on October 5, 2021 peacefully at JourneyCare in Barrington with her family by her side.
She was born in Elgin, Illinois on January 15, 1955, the loving daughter of Kurt and Margitta (Szpet) Steinmaier. She was a 1973 graduate from Irving Crown High School. Ursula grew up working at her parents restaurant Dog n Suds until she converted it into and ran El Molino Mexican Restaurant with Gustavo. She had a strong passion for baseball, especially the Chicago Cubs. She loved dancing and listening to Elvis, her house was even decorated floor to ceiling in Elvis memorabilia. You could always catch her on the phone staying in touch with family and friends. She was a devoted mother and grandmother and her eyes never failed to light up when she would talk about her children and grandchildren.
Ursula is survived by her beloved husband, Anthony "Tony" Richardson; loving children, Karina G. Soto and Elliot S. (Katie) Soto; dear grandchildren, Quinn and Cruz Soto and Theodore Larson; her siblings, Ricky Steinmaier and Denise Steinmaier (AJ Taylor); nephews and nieces, Erick (Anita) Steinmaier, Sarah (Matt) Daring, Sam Ray, Angelica (Mel) Soto, Jennifer (Luis) Santellan, Alex Garcia and Erica Garcia; step-children, Paula Cambell, Yvonne Forde and Andrew Richardson; 11 step-grandchildren and 2 step-great-grandchildren; former husband and father of her children, Gustavo Soto; survived by many other dear family members and friends.
Ursula is preceded in death by her parents.
Visitation for Ursula will be held on Saturday, October 9, 2021 from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM along with eulogies to begin at 4:00 PM that afternoon at Willow Funeral Home & Cremation Care 1415 W. Algonquin Rd. (one half mile east of Randall Rd.) Algonquin/Lake in the Hills.
