Tonnya Ann Leja

Tonnya Ann Leja (George) age 61, of Algonquin, Illinois passed away at the Alexian Brothers Hospice Residence in Elk Grove Village, Illinois on March 6, 2025. She was born in Fort Wayne, Indiana on December 21, 1963.

Tonnya always had a passion for travel and spent 14 years as a proud flight attendant. But what she was the most passionate about and loved being more than anything in this world was a mom. Wherever her family was, she wanted to be there.

Anyone who met her was always greeted with a big smile and warm hello. Tonnya’s kindness was infectious. She was funny, independent, and always full of adventure. Tonnya loved reading, the ocean, and the sitting out in the sunshine.

Tonnya is survived by her husband, Gary E. Leja; her children, Alli (Brett) Kale, Zander Leja, and Anthony Leja.

She was preceded in death by her brother, Tagg George.

Cremation rites were held privately.
