Todd Reimer

Todd Michael Reimer of Lake in the Hills, IL. Loving and devoted husband of Diane Solone and proudest father of Delaney and Taylor Reimer, passed away peacefully at Journey Care Hospice surrounded by his family August 6, 2025. He battled fiercely for life and had immense inner strength that was obvious to anyone who encountered him.

Todd was more than anything a devoted family man. He was selfless and generous and he worked tirelessly to make life better for those he loved. Todd was adventurous with travel and food and he had a passion for all things Italian. He had a life-long enthusiasm for Holstein cattle, the Cubs and the Miami Dolphins. His faithful companion was his Boston Terrier, Oahu.

He was employed with Liberty Mutual Insurance Company since 1993 and held various leadership roles throughout the years. He was passionate about mentoring and built many strong relationships with his coworkers, which were a source of great happiness and pride.

He was preceded in death by his dad, Bert Lewis and his grandparents Lester and Marion Roth and his mother-in-law, Ginny Solone. In addition to his wife and daughters, Todd is survived by his mother, Karen Lewis, his sisters Vickie Lyford (Warren) and Wendy Mathieu (Owen)  and his brother Jeff Reimer (Alana). He was a loving uncle to Brooke, Jordan, Paige, Reilly, Philip, Clayton, Julian and Marlow. He will also be greatly missed by the Solone family especially his father-in-law Ralph, brothers-in-law, Joe and Mike (Amelia) and sister-in-law Therese (Jose Rios), along with numerous cousins and loving friends.

Todd’s memory will live on in the hearts of those who loved him and who were made better by his calming presence and quiet tenacity. He touched the lives of many.

Donations in Todd’s memory may be made to the Pediatric Immuno-Oncology IL2 Research Fund at UW Health - Carbone Cancer Center. 

We will celebrate his life on Tuesday August 19th, 2025 from 3:00pm to 9:00pm at Willow Funeral home 1415 W Algonquin Road, Algonquin IL 60102.  A memorial service will be at Light of Christ Church, 1700 Longmeadow Parkway, Algonquin IL 60102 on Wednesday August 20, 2025 at 11:00am. Cremation rites have been accorded.
