Thomas J. “Tom” Gummow age 70, of Algonquin, Illinois passed away at Northwestern-Medicine Huntley Hospital on September 30, 2022. He was born in Chicago, Illinois on December 10, 1951 to John and Elizabeth (Somerville) Gummow.
He was retired as a Stores foreman with Delta Airlines with 32 years of dedicated service. Tom took great pride in many areas working at Delta and had a large network of friends in the Delta family. He loved to travel and enjoyed the outdoors working on our property and boating on the The Chain-of Lakes or his “favorite” sailing charters in the BVI‘s.
Tom is survived by his wife, Janet (Truelsen) Gummow, his children, Scott (Beth) Gummow and Roslin (Patrick) Parks; his 4 step-children; his 5 grandchildren; his sister, Rosslyn Carlson. Thomas is also survived by his may cousins and other family members in Scotland.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother-in-law, Gordon Carlson.
*** The Clans unite to honor Tommy on Saturday November 5, 2022 with a lunch & "Celebration of Life" from 12:00 PM to 4:00 PM along with a tribute at to begin at 1:00 PM all at Village Pizza & Pub, 145 N. John F. Kennedy Dr., Carpentersville, IL 60110.
