Teresa Llamas

Teresa Llamas age 80, of Elgin, Illinois passed away at home on July 5, 2023. She was born in Nuevo Leon, Mexico on June 7, 1943 the daughter of Ruperto and Hilaria Mendoza.

Teresa was a truly remarkable person who was deeply loved and cherished by her family and friends. Her love for them, her passion for cooking and sharing family recipes, and her unwavering faith made her a source of comfort and inspiration to all who knew her. Her kind and nonjudgmental nature, along with her willingness to offer wise advice, made her a beloved daughter, wife, mother, Buelita (grandmother), sister, aunt, and friend. Although she is no longer with us, her presence, and the impact she had on those around her will be greatly missed.

She is survived by her daughter, Patricia Llamas and her son, Javier (Cindy) Llamas; her grandchildren, Hillary, J.J., Meredith and Asia; she is also survived by her 2 brothers, her many nieces, nephews, cousins and sisters-in-law.

In addition to her parents, Teresa was preceded in death by her siblings, Manuel Escobedo, Roberto Mendoza, Paula Martinez and Ruperto Mendoza Jr.

Visitation will be held on Friday, July 14, 2023 from 10:00 AM until time of a 12 noon prayer service at Willow Funeral Home & Cremation Care 1415 W. Algonquin Rd., (one half mile east of Randall Rd.) Algonquin/Lake in the Hills.

A procession will continue on Friday afternoon from the funeral home chapel to St. Mary Catholic Church in Huntley for a Funeral Mass to be Celebrated at 1:00 PM. Services will conclude at the church.

Private inurnment St. Mary Catholic Cemetery, Woodstock, Illinois.
