Sylvia A. Folina (Bradford, Snelling) age 85, of Clarendale of Algonquin in Algonquin, Illinois formerly of “The Pillars of Fire” Westminster, Colorado passed away on March 15, 2022.
She was born in Toms River, New Jersey, on August 31, 1936 the daughter of Elsworth and Junita M. (Camburn) Bradford. Some of Sylvia’s love and skills were playing the violine, piano, harmonica and recorder. She enjoyed oil paintings, skiing, golfing, Bible reading and crossword puzzles.
Sylvia is survived by her beloved husband, Joseph John Folina; her daughter, Cathy Snelling Kerry and her son, Curt (Terri) Snelling; her step-children, Lisa (Christian) Toussaint, Lynn Laubach and Loren (Pasquale) Esposito; her 2 grandchildren, 4 step-grandchildren and 9 step-great great grandchildren; her sister, Jean Weaver.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother Robert Bradford and Kevin Bradford.
Growing up she attended Belleview School and Belleview Seminary College in Westminster, Colorado that is the home of the Pillar of Fire Church and KPOF radio station. "It was her basic effort to smile, and love and respect everyone".
A memorial visitation will be held on Saturday, April 2, 2022 from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM along with a Time of Sharing to begin at 3:00 PM that afternoon all at Willow Funeral Home & Cremation Care 1415 W. Algonquin Rd., (one half mile east of Randall Rd.) Algonquin/Lake in the Hils.
A private inurnment of Sylvia's cremains will take place at Windridge Memorial Park in Cary, Illinois.
In lieu of flowers, memorials to The Salvation Army or to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital in Memphis, TN would be appreciated.
