Steven Michael Finger

Steven Michael Finger age 48, of Lake in the Hills, Illinois and formerly of Palatine, Illinois passed away unexpectedly on November 21, 2022. He was born in Arlington Heights, Illinois on March 14, 1974 to Roger and Sandra (Jauch) Finger. Above any and everything in life, Steve loved his children. He enjoyed taking them to Great America, bowling, camping, you name it; he loved spending time with them. Steve loved music and going to concerts and dancing with the love of his life, his wife, Carolyn. He enjoyed kayaking and any activity that would get him outside in the fresh air. His love of classic cars and drag racing showed his need for speed. Steve wasn’t just all play. He was the successful business owner of Finer Concepts Glass and Installation- a business he worked hard building up and took pride in. He will be remembered as a loyal friend with a contagious laugh. A loyal father, son, and husband who was kind and loving. Steve will be missed by many. Steven is survived by his wife, Carolyn (Axell) Finger; his children, Samantha Marie Finger, Michael Allen Finger, Nickolas Hayden Finger and Elizabeth Kendall Finger; his mother, Sandra (Richard) Morrison; his father, Roger (Suzanne) Finger; his brother, Richard (Belinda) Morrison and his sister, Tammy (Kenneth) Yattone; his step-sister, Michele (Mark) Brown and his step-brother, Michael (Mary) Harting; lots of nieces and nephews. He was Crazy Uncle Steve. Steven was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Robert and Florence Jauch and his paternal grandparents, Frank and Florence Finger. A visitation for Steven will be held on Thursday December 1, 2022 from 3:00 PM to 9:00 PM along with a Celebration of Life service to begin at 7:00 PM that evening, with Pastor Mark Boster officiating all at Willow Funeral Home & Cremation Care 1415 W. Algonquin Rd., (one half mile east of Randall Rd.) Algonquin/Lake in the Hills.
