Stephen J. Bluma, 73, of Algonquin, Illinois, passed away on June 5, 2026, at his home. He was born on May 5, 1953, in Waukegan, Illinois, the son of Chester A. Bluma and Mary A. DeRyke Bluma.
Stephen dedicated many years of his career as a skilled mold maker. Throughout his career, he took great pride in creating a wide variety of projects and was respected for his craftsmanship, dedication, and strong work ethic.
He is survived by his beloved daughter, Stephanie Rector; his cherished grandchildren, Savannah Rector, Tyler Rector, Elizabeth Cirasuolo, and Bobby Mason; his sisters, Shari Bluma and Janice Cooprider his brothers, Michael Bluma, Kenneth Bluma, and Scott Bluma; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Stephen was preceded in death by his parents, Chester A. Bluma and Mary A. DeRyke Bluma.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Stephen's memory to the American Diabetes Association.
Visitation will be held on Friday, June 12, 2026, from 9:30 a.m. until 10:30 a.m. at Willow Funeral Home & Cremation Care, 1415 W. Algonquin Road, Algonquin, Illinois 60102. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 11:00 a.m. at St. Margaret Mary Catholic Church, 111 South Hubbard Street, Algonquin, Illinois 60102.
Interment will take place at Ascension Catholic Cemetery & Mausoleum in Libertyville, Illinois.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Willow Funeral Home & Cremation Care, Algonquin.
Stephen will be remembered for his dedication to his family, his craftsmanship, and the many lives he touched throughout the years. His memory will be cherished by all who knew and loved him.
