Stanley "Stosh" Anders Anderson age 91, of Algonquin, Illinois passed away on May 12, 2022 with his loving family by his side. He was born in Ashby, Minnesota on January 8, 1931 the son of Anders and Eva (Western) Anderson.
He was a proud U.S. Air Force Veteran that served during the Korean Conflict era, an amazing chef for United Airlines with over 40 years of service, an avid crossword puzzle player and reader.
Stanley is survived by his beloved wife and caregiver of 21 years, Julie Ann Anderson; his daughter Mary Carol Lucania; his grandchildren, Joseph “J.C.” Charles Lucania, Anthony Nicholas Lucania and John “J.O.” Olaf (Emily) Anderson and Ryne Mark Anderson; his step-children, Jeffrey (Kelly) Meade; Michael (Robin) Meade and Shannon Meade; his step-grandchildren, Alyssa, Tyler, Jenna, Mikey, Mackenzie, Jacob and William; his great-granddaughter Lucy Anderson; daughter-in-law, Laura Anderson; his sisters-in-law, Cathy Gallagher and Lori Swegle; also survived by many nieces, nephews and his beloved canine puppy "Henry".
Stanley was a devoted and loyal husband, grandfather, great-grandfather, and dear friend to many.
In addition to his parents, Stanley was preceded in death by Delores (Zogata) Anderson, the love of his life and wife of 40 wonderful years, his son, Mark Andrew Anderson; his brother, Franklin Anderson and his sister-in law, Ellen Anderson; his father-in-law, William Richard Noxon.
Cremation rites were accorded privately.
A Celebration of Life gathering for Stanley will be held on Friday, July 1, 2022 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM along with a prayer service and Military Honors to begin at 7:00 PM at Willow Funeral Home & Cremation Care 1415 W. Algonquin Rd., (one half mile east of Randall Rd.) Algonquin/Lake in the Hills.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Autism Speaks (www.autismspeaks.org) or to the charity of one's choice.
