Sharon L. Marzec

Sharon L. Marzec (Bendig) age 93, passed away at Alden Courts of Huntley, on November 16, 2024 with her loving family at her side. Sharon was formerly of Sun City Huntley and of Des Plaines. She was born in Chicago, Illinois on May 4, 1931 the only daughter of Otto and Ellen (McKinney) Von Bendig.

Sharon was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church in Mt. Prospect.

Sharon always was gracious. Sharon’s calling was always to help others. She would say “We are put on this earth to help others, that is what God would want us to do.” She enjoyed attending many activities at Alden, especially music, she loved to sing. The family would like to thank the staff at Alden for their loving care of Sharon these past several years.

Her pride and joy was her only grandson, Vince.

She is survived by her loving daughter, Lisa (Steve) Bono and cherished grandson, Vince Bono.

In addition to her parents, Sharon was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Walter J. Marzec.

A memorial visitation for Sharon will be held on Saturday, November 23, 2024 from 12:00 PM to 3:00 PM along with a service to begin at 1:00 PM, with Rev. Sam Park officiating all at Willow Funeral Home & Cremation Care 1415 W. Algonquin Rd., (one half mile east of Randall Rd.) Algonquin/Lake in the Hills.
