Scharlet Belokon

Scharlet  M. “Schar” Belokon (Hecht) age 63, of Crystal Lake, Illinois passed away at Advocate Good Shepherd Hospital in Barrington, Illinois on April 25, 2023.  After a year long battle with Ovarian cancer and dealing with constant pain and treatments to fight this disease, she now pain-free and in the loving arms of her God and Savior the Lord Jesus Christ.

She was born in Mokena, Illinois on August 25, 1959 the loving daughter of Charles and Karolina (Klauser) Hecht.   She graduated from Lincoln Way High School in 1977. Scharlet worked for Motorola in Schaumberg for 28 years.  She started her career at Motorola working in the cafeteria and retired as a Human Resources Generalist. She then worked for the Village of Fox River Grove and the Village of Algonquin as a Clerk.

Scharlet married Larry Belokon on November 28th, 1987.  They then resided in Crystal Lake, Illinois for the next 35 years and raised two daughters, who were the joys of her life. She was blessed with two wonderful Son-in-laws and 3 grandchildren.  Her favorite getaway place was Dutch Hollow Lake in LaValle, Wisconsin.

She is survived by her beloved husband, Larry; her loving daughters, Stephanie (Andrew) Moment of St. Charles, Illinois and Alexandria (Cliff) Conrad of Dubuque, Iowa; her cherished grandchildren, Addison, Halo and Myaa; her beloved mother, Karolina Hecht; her dear siblings, Gunther Klauser, Barb (David) Smith, Charles Hecht and Eddie Hecht; her brother-in-law, William (Marty) Belokon; her sisters-in-law, Randi Belokon and Carol (Pete) Heinzl; she is also survived by many nieces & nephews.

Scharlet was preceded in death by her loving father, Charles Hecht, her in-laws, Walter and Lorraine Belokon and her brother-in-law, Walter J. Belokon.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to Custom Canines Service Dog Academy, 2310 Mustang Way, Madison, WI 53718 would be greatly appreciated.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, April 30, 2023 from 1:00 PM to 9:00 PM along with Words of Remembrances to be shared at 6:00 PM that evening at Willow Funeral Home 1415 W. Algonquin Rd., (one half mile east of Randall Rd.) Algonquin/Lake in the Hills.

Family & friends will gather on Monday, May 1, 2023 at 11:00 AM directly at St. John’s Cemetery, 20201 Wolf Rd., Mokena for a Graveside Service.
