SSG Vincent J. Camarata

SSG Vincent J. Camarata age 34, an active duty serviceman of the United States Army, currently of Raeford, North Carolina and formerly of Algonquin, Illinois passed away on October 19, 2023 at U.S. Army-Womack Army Medical Center in North Carolina. He was born on April 1, 1989 the son of Terry J. and Janice Rae (Schwanebeck) Camarata.

Vincent joined the Army in 2012. In that time he moved across the country and deployed across the world multiple times.  He always excelled in everything he set out to do in his career, which led to many admirable accomplishments.  His ability to give 110% was one for the books.  He also had a love for baseball that held strong throughout his life and he couldn’t wait to pass that down to his 3 boys.

Vincent is survived by his wife, Lauren M. (Kosmatka) Camarata; his sons, Trenton James Camarata, Cooper Vincent Camarata and Rowan Kane Camarata; his father, Terry Camarata; his siblings, Augi (Nicole) Fesi and Ashley (Les) Fesi; his grandparents, Jim (Ginger) Schwanebeck; Lauren’s family, Gary and Lynne Kosmatka, Jaime Kosmatka, Beth (Scott) Gummow and Shannon (John) Ramberg; he is also an uncle of many.

Vincent was preceded in death by his mother, Janice Rae Camarata; his grandparents, Vincent and Lorraine Camarata and Joan and Norm Schwanebeck.

A Memorial Visitation for SSG Vincent J. Camarata will be held on Monday, November 6, 2023 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM along with Military Honors under the auspices of the United States Army to begin at 7:00 PM that evening all at Willow Funeral Home & Cremation Care 1415 W. Algonquin Rd., (one mile east of Randall Rd.) Algonquin/Lake in the Hills.
