Leroy “Roy” G. Dasko - Army veteran of the Korean War, Founder of Park Ridge Auto Body, passed away peacefully in his home, surrounded by his family, at the age of 87. Survived by his wife of 51 years, Bonita A. (Graf) Dasko, Half-sister Irene Forsberg, children Lawrence, Richard, and Shari (Michael Kelly), Step children Michael (Donna Ofenloch), Mark (Cheryl Ofenloch), Elizabeth (Mark Bach), Grace Krofel, Ann (David Taylor). Best Buddies to Michael (Jen Zientek), Shawn (Allison Zientek), Matthew (Shawna Ofenloch), Jon Ofenloch, and Evan Ofenloch. Sister-in-law Kathleen (James Mulson). Fond grandfather, great grandfather, uncle, and great uncle to many more. Roy was a master story teller, fishing extraordinaire, and summer golfing fixture at Old Orchard Country Club. He enjoyed painting, a classic movie, and a room full of people.
Proceeded in death by his mother and father (George and Helen Dasko), only sister Joan (Dasko) Sosnowski, Brother-in-law Robert Sosnowski, Step son Lawrence Ofenloch, and many fond cousins.
A visitation for Roy will be held on Sunday, March 21, from 3:00 PM to 9:00 PM at Willow Funeral Home & Cremation Care 1415 W. Algonquin Rd., (one mile east of Randall Rd.) Algonquin/Lake in the Hills. (Please remember social distancing and face coverings will be our shared practice during the visitation at the funeral home.)
Funeral services along with Military Honors under the auspices of the U.S. Army will be held on Monday, March 22, 2021 at 10:30 AM in the funeral home chapel.
Cremation rites will be accorded privately.
