Ronald E. Doerr

Ronald E. Doerr age 82, formerly of Chicago, Illinois until 2015, and most recently of Melody Living of Lake in the Hills, passed away on August 5, 2022. He was born in Chicago, Illinois on August 5, 1940 to Erwin and Lucille (nee Bersted).

He was retired from Industrial Catering (Doerr Brothers). He was an avid railroad train locomotive enthusiast, loved collecting stamps and doing jigsaw puzzles.

Ronald is survived by his children, Robin, nee Doutt (Doug) Wyrick, Debbie, nee Lowery (Frank) Lawless, Ronald Jr. (Sonya, nee Roberson) Doutt and Carol, nee Doerr (Richard) Donovan; also survived by 7 grandchildren.

In addition to parents, Ronald was preceded in death by his sisters, Lou and Grace and also a grandson. He loved to socialize with everyone

Visitation will be held on Friday, August 12, 2022 from 10:00 AM until time of a 12 Noon chapel service at Willow Funeral Home 1415 W. Algonquin Rd., (one half mile east of Randall Rd.) Algonquin/Lake in the Hills.

Burial to follow on Friday, August 12, 2022 at 2:30 PM at Forest Home Cemetery, 863 Des Plaines Ave., Forest Park, Illinois. (Please meet at the cemetery office).
