Robert Joseph Kreisel Obituary

Robert Joseph Kreisel of Algonquin, Illinois passed away peacefully on August 27, 2024 at the age of 52, surrounded by the love of his family at Advocate Sherman Hospital in Elgin, Illinois.

Born on March 9, 1972, in Arlington Heights, Illinois, Robert was the beloved son of Robert V. and Shirley A. (Eldridge) Kreisel. During his early childhood years, he grew up in Schaumburg, Illinois, before moving to Algonquin, Illinois, where he graduated from Jacobs High School. Robert built a successful career as an auto sales representative, where he was known for his dedication and charismatic personality.  It was through his work that he met his girlfriend, Tatum Ziegler, and together they shared a deep love for their son, Finnigan Robert Kreisel.

A devoted father, partner, son, and friend, Robert found happiness in life’s simple pleasures. Whether it be fishing on a quiet lake, playing mini golf with his son, enjoying a barbecue with loved ones, playing cards with friends, or cheering on his favorite sports team, the Chicago Bears.  Robert had a passion for collecting shoes and was always on the hunt for the next unique pair of sneakers to expand his collection.  He was known for his playful spirit, love of pranks and brought a smile to everyone’s face.

Over the past year, Robert faced his challenging medical illness with incredible courage, strength, and perseverance. His legacy of bravery, love and laughter will forever live in the hearts of his family and friends. He will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by all whose lives he touched.

Robert is survived by his girlfriend, Tatum Ziegler, his cherished son, Finnigan Robert Kreisel; his parents, Robert and Shirley Kreisel; his siblings, Tammy (Ed) Lindenmeyer, Michael Kreisel, Cathy Kreisel and David Kreisel; his nephews and nieces, Jeremy Beebe, Daniel Beebe, Christa Beebe and Leah Daragahi.  He was preceded in death by his niece, Kaitlyn Beebe.

Family and friends will gather for a visitation on Saturday, August 31, 2024 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Margaret Mary Catholic Church, 111 S. Hubbard St., Algonquin.  A Funeral Mass will follow the visitation starting at 11:00 a.m.
