Robert "Bob" Koziel

Robert Anthony “Bob” Koziel age 46, of Lake in the Hills, Illinois passed away at home on February 26, 2023. He was born in Chicago, Illinois on February 27, 1976 the son of Gary and Pam (nee Neely) Koziel.

Bob was a graduate of Gordon Technical High School (DePaul College Prep) in Chicago and Eastern Illinois University in Charleston, IL where he was a dedicated football player for both teams.

Following college, Bob worked in the wireless communications industry with SAC Wireless & KMM Telecommunications for over 25 years where he held various leadership roles. Bob’s dedication to the Jr Eagles football club included coaching his sons and being a positive influence to many players on and off the field. He also served as the President of the Jr Eagles for several years. Bob was an avid sports fan of many Chicago teams as evident in his dogs, "Cubby" & "Bear".

Bob is survived by his loving children, Kyle and Blake Koziel; his parents, Gary and Pam Koziel; his dear brother, Bill (Cathy) Koziel and his dear sister, Jen Koziel; treasured nieces and nephews, Macy and Reese Koziel, Dakotah, Alexis and Brooklyn Kane, Chase, Cruz and Dash Dexter.

Bob was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Julie Ann (nee Dopp) Koziel in 2017.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, March 4, 2023 from 12:00 PM to 4:00 PM, along with a Time of Sharing to begin that afternoon at 2:30PM with Pastor Bill Orris officiating, all at Willow Funeral Home & Cremation Care 1415 W. Algonquin Rd., (one half mile east of Randall Rd.) Algonquin/Lake in the Hills.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Koziel family for expenses.
