Robert "Bob" Jazwinski

Robert “Bob” Jazwinski, age 86, of Fox River Grove, Illinois, passed away at his home on Wednesday, December 18, 2024. Robert was born on July 12, 1938 in Chicago, Illinois to the late Alex and Mary (Kizewski) Jazwinski. He was a proud United States Air Force Veteran. He enlisted in the Air Force in 1960 and spent two-years of that tour in Germany where he learned to ski and enjoy German food, drink, and music.  He graduated from Northwestern University in Evanston, Illinois in 1969 with a degree in Chemistry. 
 

While at Northwestern, he worked at Velsicol Chemical in Chicago, Illinois where he met his future wife, Monica.  Shortly after graduating, he changed
jobs to work for the Standard Oil Company of Indiana (Amoco) where he worked until retirement.  Robert enjoyed traveling, roller skating, gardening, whitewater canoeing, scuba diving, camping, hiking, and downhill skiing.
 

He is survived by his beloved wife of 57 years, Monica (Fitzpatrick) Jazwinski; his loving son, James (Jennifer) Jazwinski; his dear sister, Marion Young; his fond, sister-in-law Joan Jazwinski, including his 5 nieces, 2 nephews and many great and great-great nieces and nephews. 
 

Robert was preceded in death by his parents, Alojzy “Alex” and Mary (Kizewski) Jazwinski and also his seven older brothers, Joseph, Stanley, John, Richard, Al, Raymond, and Leonard.
 

Visitation for Robert will be held on Friday, December 27, 2024 from 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Willow Funeral Home 1415 W. Algonquin Rd., (one half mile west of Main St.) Algonquin/Lake in the Hills.

Family & friends will gather for a second visitation on Saturday, December 28, 2024 beginning at 9:30 a.m. directly at Ss. Peter & Paul Catholic Church, 401 N. First St., Cary. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated beginning at 10:30 a.m.
 

Interment will follow along with Military Funeral Honors under the auspices of the U.S. Airforce at St. John Nepomucene Catholic Cemetery in Fox River Grove, IL.
