Robert "Bob" Beyer

Robert Mark “Bob” Beyer age 62, a 32 year resident of Algonquin, passed away at Advocate Good Shepherd Hospital in Barrington. He was born in Chicago, Illinois on February 18, 1961 the loving son of Robert Joseph and Betty Sue (Wilson) Beyer.

Bob had an unrivaled work ethic as well as a heart of gold and was proud to be the general manager of Riverview Restaurant in Algonquin for the past 35 years. He enjoyed meeting people from all walks of life and was happy to be a resource for the community. In his own words, his family was his life and greatest achievement. He was a third generation bowler until illness made it too difficult to move, a fan of Elvis, and knew how to be silly.

He is survived by his beloved wife, Carol (née Petras) Beyer; his loving children, Paul (Zorina) Beyer, Nicole (Jonny Norquist) Beyer and Marie (Justin Wheeler) Beyer; his cherished grandchildren, Nicolas and Ezra; his dear siblings, Penney (John Kolossa) Beyer and Peter (Ruann Donnelly) Beyer; his darling aunt Carolyn (Mike Pelleck) Wilson and his uncle Jim (Teri) Beyer; and many nieces & nephews.

Bob was preceded in death by his parents, uncles, aunts, and nephew, Jon Kolossa.

Bob will be dearly missed by his family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing him. As we celebrate his life, let us remember the love, laughter, and light he brought into the world.

A visitation for Bob will be held on Saturday June 17, 2023 from 1:00 PM to 8:00 PM along with "Words of Remembrances" to be shared at 5:00 PM that afternoon with Rev. James W. Heiland officiating. A second visitation for Bob will also be held on Sunday, June 18, 2023 from 2:00 PM to 7:00 PM all at Willow Funeral Home 1415 W. Algonquin Rd., (one half mile east of Randall Rd.) Algonquin.

Interment will be held on Monday, June 19, 2023 at 10:00 AM at Memory Gardens Cemetery, 2501 W. Euclid Ave., Arlington Heights, IL
