Robert M. Crom

Robert M. Crom, age 88, passed away on Saturday, March 4, 2023, surrounded by his family. Born April 11, 1934, in Chicago, and was a resident of Sun City, Huntley for 21 years, Carpentersville for 7 years, and a longtime Chicago resident. He was a longtime printer in Chicago. In retirement, Bob used his gift of gab to put patients at ease while driving a courtesy van for Lieberman Eye Associates. Loved golf, bowling, and spending time with his family. The beloved husband of the late Thelma "Dollie;" loving father of Robert (Vicki) Crom, Richard Crom, and Vicki (Scott) Frantz: dear brother of the late Jim Crom and the late Lois Rosencrans; proud grandfather of Kelly (Mark) Frieders, Matthew (Brittany) Gandolfo, Michael (Amanda) Crom and Meghan Gandolfo; great-grandfather of Kaylee and Abileen Frieders, and Mila and Luke Gandolfo. Fond uncle of many. Visitation will be Thursday, March 9, 2023, from 4:00 to 9:00 p.m. at Willow Funeral Home & Cremation Care, 1415 W. Algonquin Rd., (one half mile east of Randall Rd.) Algonquin/Lake in the Hills. Service will be held Friday, March 10, 2023, at 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home, with the burial at River Valley Memorial Gardens, West Dundee, IL.
