A celebration of life will be held for Richard and Marilyn Leifheit.
Richard C. (Dick) Leifheit age 90, of Port Charlotte, Florida passed away on August 19, 2022. Richard was born in Chicago, Illinois on January 29, 1932, to Christ and Gertrude (Wilke) Leifheit.
Marilyn J. (Quinlan) Leifheit age 87, of Port Charlotte, Florida passed away on May 13, 2022. Marilyn was born in Chicago, Illinois on September 27, 1934, to Edward and Catherine (Schoenher) Quinlan.
Richard and Marilyn were married on March 20, 1954 and celebrated 67 years of marriage. Most of Richard’s career was spent with the Motorola corporation. Marilyn worked for years in retail, retiring from Walgreens.
They moved to the Cable/Drummond area of Wisconsin and spent their retirement years enjoying boating, swimming, golf, and photographing the wildlife. They were actively involved in the Lions club and donated much of their time to the Cable Museums.
In later years, they divided their time between Wisconsin and the Port Charlotte, Florida area.
Richard and Marilyn are survived by their loving sons, Don (Jeanne) Leifheit and Eric (Denise) Leifheit; their daughter-in-law, Laura Leifheit; cherished grandchildren, Alexis (Ryan) Kipping, Cristen (Jason Bimber) Leifheit, Brandon Leifheit, Matthew Leifheit, Kate (Mike) Aument, Heidi (Johnny Calderon) Leifheit, and Krystal (Evan) Webb; proud great grandparents of 7; loved by many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Marilyn is survived by her sisters, Pat (the late Mike) Coleantonio and Eleanor (the late Darryl) Clark. She was preceded in death by a sister, Catherine (the late Stanley) Lichon and a brother, Tom (the late Lea) Catinella.
In addition to their parents, Richard and Marilyn were both preceded in death by their loving son, Richard Leifheit and their great granddaughter, Olivia Kipping.
A memorial visitation will be held on Saturday, December 3, 2022, from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM along with a prayer service to begin at 11:00 AM all at Willow Funeral Home & Cremation Care 1415 W. Algonquin Rd., (one half mile east of Randall Rd.) Algonquin/Lake in the Hills.
