Peter C. Sorensen

Peter C. Sorensen Jr., age 65, of Lake in the Hills, Illinois and formerly of Elgin, Illinois passed away on November 7, 2023 at Northwestern Medicine – Huntley Hospital in Huntley, Illinois. He was born in Grand Island, Nebraska on June 11, 1958, the loving son of Peter C. Sr. and Judith D. (Claus) Sorensen.

Peter was a former CNC Machinist for Midwest Automation. He was a huge sports fan and loved the Chicago Cubs and the Bears. He faced his long struggle with Multiple Sclerosis with courage and kindness towards others. He always had a smile and joke for everyone. 

Peter is survived by his beloved wife, Diane M. (Snelten) Sorensen; his loving children, Jaclyn Manning and Kevin Sorensen; his dear father, Peter C. Sorensen Sr.; his brother, Matthew (Debra) Sorensen and his sister, Monica (Jim) Salentiny; he is also survived by nieces and nephews.

Peter is preceded in death by his loving mother, Judith Sorensen and his dear sister, Jennifer Grantham.

A memorial visitation for Peter will be held on Saturday, November 18, 2023 from 12:00 PM to 5:00 PM along with a memorial service to begin at 4:00 PM that afternoon all at Willow Funeral Home & Cremation Care 1415 W. Algonquin Rd., (one mile east of Randall Rd.) Algonquin/Lake in the Hills.
