Patricia Ann Taflinger, 56, of Algonquin, IL, passed away on May 7, 2020 at home surrounded by family.
Patricia was born in Lansing, IL and is preceded in death by her parents Nicholas and Pauline Orban. She graduated from Thornton Fractional South High School in Lansing, IL and received her BA from Western Illinois University in Macomb, IL. There she met her husband David Taflinger.
Patricia was the Senior Vice President, Intelligence at Blue Chip Marketing Worldwide. Prior professional positions include Director of Media at Foodmix Marketing Communications, Marketing Manager at Verizon Wireless and Media Manager at Miller Brewing Company.
Other contributions included NISL Coordinator of Algonquin Lake in the Hills Soccer Association, Algonquin Founder’s Days Fireworks Committee and a passionate advocate for the Fox River.
She was admired for her ability to be a strategic thinker, a strong communicator and an excellent team leader. Her courage and hope was a beacon for her family and friends to follow. Pat was compassionate and she sincerely cared about everyone and everything. She was someone that everyone gravitated towards to enjoy her infectious laughter and plans for the next adventure. She will always be remembered for her fierce devotion to family and friends. She loved boating on the Fox River, trips to Door County, WI, vacations with family, outings with friends and great wine.
She is survived by her husband David, two sons Matthew and Brian, four sisters Kathy (Kathy Veroni) Orban, Sherry (late Richard) Browne, Chris (Norm) Rogers and Melissa (Lauren) McCormack. Father and Mother-In-Law Robert (Reece) Taflinger, brother-in-law Robert (Beth) Taflinger. Three nieces, Shannon and Alyssa Taflinger and Abigail Browne Foreman and one nephew, Russell Browne.
Due to current COVID-19 restrictions regarding social gatherings, a private family Funeral Mass will be Celebrated at St. Margaret Mary Catholic Church in Algonquin, with a private family graveside service to follow at Algonquin Cemetery.
