Norman F. Schwartz Jr. age 62 of Crystal Lake passed away in Huntley on October 3, 2021 surrounded by his family. He was born in Chicago Illinois on February 7, 1959 to Norman F Sr and Ruth (Brown) Schwartz, who was raised by his father and loving step-mother Yvonne Schwartz.
He is survived by his wife, Monika (Boschen) Schwartz, his daughters Susan Nieves and Jessica (Freddy) Mora; his grandchildren Melanie, Steven, Damien, Alyssa, Noah, Lucas, Ella, Payzlee and late granddaughter Brooklynn; great-granddaughter Rosalina; his father Norman F. Schwartz Sr; his siblings George (Sue) Schwartz, Vivian (Randy) Nordmeyer, Karen (Randy) Cadotte, Joseph Schwartz; his uncle, Donald Schwartz; his sister n law Brigette (Russ) Hayden and numerous cousins, nephews and nieces.
Norman was preceded in death by his mother Ruth Schwartz; step-mother Yvonne Schwartz, granddaughter, Brooklynn and aunt, Susan Schwartz.
Norman was a proud Veteran of the United States Army and proud member of the Lake in the Hills American Legion Post #1231. Norman was a very active devoted member of the American Legion Post #1231. Norman served many different roles at the American Legion Post #1231 from their favorite Commander, adjutant, bar Manager and event planning touching many lives while making everlasting friendships. Everybody knew Norman no matter where he’d go and he would give the shirt off his back to help someone in need. Norman will never be forgotten as he was truly one of a kind.
Visitation for Norman will be held on Thursday, October 7, 2021 from 4:00 PM to 9:00 PM along with a Military Honor Guard Tribute under the auspices of the Lake in the Hills American Legion Post #1231 at 6:30 PM all at Willow Funeral Home & Cremation Care 1415 W. Algonquin Rd., (one mile east of Randall Rd.) Algonquin/Lake in the Hills.
Funeral services for Norman will be held on Friday, October 8, 2021 beginning at 10:30 AM along with a Time of Sharing and Military Honors all in the chapel of Willow Funeral Home & Cremation Care 1415 W. Algonquin Rd., Algonquin.
Cremation rites will be accorded privately.
