Nate F. Bavaro age 95, formerly of Des Plaines, Illinois passed away at The Woodlands at Canterfield in West Dundee, Illinois on February 18, 2024. He was born in Chicago, Illinois on August 23, 1928 the son of Joseph and Carmella Bavaro. Nate was a proud United States Army Veteran during the Korean War era.
He is survived by his children, Teri Ann (David) Jachniw and Steve (Lila) Bavaro; his grandchildren, Angela (Henry) Traverso and Alyssa and Selena, Ayrielle (Jeff) Walt and Trenton (Sydney); his 5 great-grandchildren; his sister, Jacinta “Dolly” Lyzniak; In addition to his parents, Nate was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Ann Margaret (Pavone) Bavaro and his 4 siblings. Visitation for Nate will be held on Thursday, February 22, 2024 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Willow Funeral Home 1415 W. Algonquin Rd., (one half mile east of Randall Rd.) Algonquin/Lake in the Hills. Family & friends will gather on Friday, February 23, 2024 directly at St. Zachary Catholic Church, 567 W. Algonquin Rd., Des Plaines for a funeral mass to be celebrated at 11:00 AM. Entombment will follow at All Saints Catholic Cemetery in Des Plaines, Illinois. In lieu of flowers, memorials to the St. Theresa Society of the Little Flower 1313 N.
