Nancy Rose Duncan

Nancy Rose Duncan (Niacaris) age 71, of Algonquin passed away on December 14, 2020 at Northwestern Medicine Huntley Hospital with her loving family at her side.

She was born in Cicero, Illinois on August 12, 1949, the daughter of William and Mae Niacaris.

Nancy had traveled all over the US and had been to all of the States except Alaska and Hawaii. She enjoyed taking driving excursions with her husband Tom, sightseeing throughout the country, and always enjoyed new adventures when traveling by car, especially unintended ones. She enjoyed playing with her granddaughters, and doing crafting and event planning for the people in her life she loved. Nancy also enjoyed her many annual traditions such as baking cookies, gingerbread houses, and carving pumpkins. She loved decorating for the holidays. Her other hobbies were sewing and thrifting. She loved her weekly dinners with children and grandchildren, and live theater, which she occasionally also got with the weekly dinners.

Nancy is survived by her husband, Tom Duncan; her children, Traci-Rae (Robert Cygan) Duncan and Daniel (Michaeline Bruski) Duncan; her grandchildren, Denali Rose Marie Duncan and Rylee Jaymes Cygan; her brother Raymond (Connie) Niacaris.
 

A Celebration of Life gathering will be held on Saturday, December 19, 2020 from 11:00 AM to 3:00 PM along with a Time of Sharing at begin at 2:00 PM all at Willow Funeral Home & Cremation Care 1415 W. Algonquin Rd. (one mile east of Randall Rd.) Algonquin/Lake in the Hills. (Social distancing and face coverings will be our shared practice during the visitation).
