Nancy Eileen Wandtke (Kupka), 73, of Algonquin, Illinois, passed away on December 11, 2023. She was born in Chicago, Illinois, on August 25, 1950, the daughter of Stanley and Marcella (Kanter) Kupka.
Nancy was not only a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and friend, but also a successful business owner. Known for her compassionate caregiving and exceptional sense of humor, she will be fondly remembered for her infectious laughter and quick wit. Nancy's unwavering loyalty and generosity made her a cherished friend to many.
Nancy is survived by her beloved husband, Gary L. Wandtke, and her loving children: Dana (Karl Kissner) Wandtke, Julie Wandtke, Erica (Jeff) Hines, and Amanda (Danny) Lopez. She was also blessed with a very special granddaughter, Teagan Krajenta, who brought immense joy to her life. Nancy's faithful canine companion, Boomer, was a source of endless love and comfort.
In addition to her parents, Nancy was preceded in death by her beloved daughter, Courtney Wandtke, whose memory will be cherished forever. Nancy was also accompanied on her journey by her loyal canine companion, Mathilda.
In honor of Nancy's memory, the family kindly requests that any desired memorials be made to her favorite charity, St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, December 17, 2023 from 1:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at Willow Funeral Home & Cremation Care 1415 W. Algonquin Rd., (one half mile east of Randall Rd.) Algonquin/Lake in the Hills.
Family & friends will gather on Monday, December 18, 2023 for an 11:00 a.m. Funeral Mass at St. Margaret Mary Catholic Church, 111 S. Hubbard St., Algonquin. A visitation will begin at 10:00 a.m. at the church.
A memorial luncheon will follow for family & friends.
