Michael C. Golden

Michael C. Golden age 64, of Marengo and formerly of Chicago passed away unexpectedly on May 29, 2023 at Northwestern Medicine-Huntley Hospital. He was born in Chicago, Illinois on January 23, 1959 the son of Daniel and Mary (Aufmann) Golden.
 

Mike was a dedicated member of his community. Many knew him as "Coach Mike" from his many years as a Streamwood Falcon Football Coach. Mike always remembered coaching as one of his favorite pastimes. In more recent years, he enjoyed his retirement from his profession as an electrician with IBEW.  Mike also spent much of his time with his grandchildren and watching his favorite sports teams.
 

He is survived by his wife, Laura (Pennada) Golden; his children, Jillayne (Mike) Butler, James Jones, Michael Golden, Jayme (Jerry) Criscione, Victor (Chrissy Pennada) Golden, Thomas Golden, Katilynn Jones and Gregory Golden; his grandchildren, Brett, Jeremy, Jackson, Jemma, Phoenix, Hendrix, Hailey, Alexis and Lorraine; his brothers, John (Phyllis) Golden, Thomas Golden and Daniel (Terrie Ann) Golden.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister-in-law, Olga Golden

A memorial visitation will be held on Saturday, June 10, 2023 from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM along with a prayer service to begin at 1:00 PM that afternoon all at Willow Funeral Home & Cremation Care 1415 W. Algonquin Rd., (one half mile east of Randall Rd.) Algonquin/Lake in the Hills.
