Mary C. Chapman (Gaughan) age 71, of Algonquin, IL formerly of Arlington Heights, IL passed away on September 17, 2022. She was born in Chicago, Illinois on March 16, 1951 to John and Rose Gaughan. She was an Oncology Nurse at St. Alexus Medical Center in Hoffman Estates with 36 years of dedicated service caring for countless patients and mentoring other nurses. Her faith was an important part of her life. She was very active with a Women’s Bible study group from her church. Mary is survived by her beloved husband, Ralph Chapman; her loving children, Robert (Karen) Chapman, Thomas (Mishelle) Chapman, Suzanne (Kyle) Wilson and Jeffery (Tammy) Chapman; her cherished grandchildren, Madeline, Benjamin, Katherine (Mark), Austin, Olivia, and Renee including Carla; her cherished great-grandchildren, Mackenzie, MJ, Ethan, Jaxson and; her devoted mother, Rose Gaughan; her dear siblings, John (Kathy) Gaughan, Maureen (Lance) Krahl, Brian (Judy) Gaughan, Colleen (Dave) Gaughan-Hogaboom and Michelle (Jason) Smith; she is also survived by her many fond nieces & nephews. She was preceded in death by her beloved father, John Gaughan and her dear brother, Patrick Gaughan. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, September 21, 2022 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM along with a service to begin at 7:00 PM that evening all at Willow Funeral Home & Cremation Care 1415 W. Algonquin Rd., (one mile west of Rt. 31) Algonquin. Interment will be held privately.
