Mary S. (Scifo) Berger

Mary S. Berger (nee Scifo) age 84, passed away at her home on October 1, 2018, with her loving family at her side. She was born in Chicago, Illinois on February 17, 1934 the daughter of Joseph and Julia (nee Parla) Scifo.

Mary is survived by her husband Peter Berger; her loving children, Deborah Halawith, Joseph Melaniphy and Michael (Kathy) Melaniphy; grandchildren Bree Halawith, Kevin Melaniphy and Meagan Melaniphy; her brother Sam Scifo and also her husband Peter’s extended family. Mary was preceded in death by her parents, her brothers Tony Scifo and Jimmy Scifo and a sister Josephine Perrone.

A memorial visitation will be held on Monday, October 8, 2018 from 8:30 AM until time of Life Celebration Remembrances to begin at 11:00 AM at Willow Funeral Home & Cremation Care 1415 W. Algonquin Rd., (one mile east of Randall Rd.) Algonquin/Lake in the Hills. Cremation rites were accorded privately.
