Mario F. Ramirez Sr. age 77, of Carpentersville, Illinois passed away November 23, 2023 at JourneyCare Hospice of Barrington with his loving family at his side. He was born in Laredo, Texas on December 21, 1945 the loving son of Marcelino and Delfina Ramirez.
He was a proud United States Army Veteran serving during the Korean War era.
Mario is survived by his beloved wife, Ana (Lechuga) Ramirez; his children, Mario F. Jr. (Jennifer) Ramirez, Roxana (Larry Stadie) Ramirez and Victor (Teresa) Ramirez; his grandchildren, Mario III, Odysseus, Roland, Angelina, Matthew, Saul and Diego; his great-grandson; Matthew Jacob; his siblings, Manuel, Margarito, Martin, Mike, Moses, Maury, Martha, Mary, Melva and Maggie.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his siblings, Minerua Ramirez, Marcelino Ramirez and Marc Ramirez.
Mario was a huge Chicago Cubs baseball fan and he enjoyed all sports especially attending his grandchildren's and nephew's sports activities.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, December 3, 2023 from 3:00 PM to 9:00 PM at Willow Funeral Home 1415 W. Algonquin Rd., (one mile west of Rt. 31) Algonquin/Lake in the Hills.
Funeral Services will be held on Monday, December 4, 2023 with prayers to begin at 9:00 AM from the funeral home chapel and proceed to St. Monicia Catholic Church in Carpentersville for a Funeral Mass to be Celebrated at 10:00 AM.
Interment along with Military Honors under the auspices of the U.S Army will be performed at Dundee Township East Cemetery.
