Margaret Mary Donnelly

Margaret Mary Donnelly (nee Crehan) died January 3, 2021.  She was 86 years old.

Margaret was born in Chicago to Michael and Margaret (McHugh) Crehan.  She was preceded in death by her husband John Joseph Donnelly, M.D. and their daughter Eileen. Margaret and John were married for 65 years.

Margaret attended Mundelein College in Chicago, IL. She was an avid reader and enjoyed spending time with her family.

Margaret married John in 1955 and had 9 children.  She is survived by their children Mary (Mark) Hartford, Dennis, Susan (Don) Babo, Daniel (Diane), Thomas (Sally), Michael (Mary Ellen), Julie Cavazos and Theresa (Jeff) Therens.  She has 16 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.  She is also survived by her brothers Martin and Michael Crehan.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, January 10, 2021 from 3:00 pm to 7:00 pm at Willow Funeral Home 1415 West Algonquin, Rd., (one mile east of Randall Rd.) Algonquin / Lake in the Hills, IL (Please remember social distancing and face coverings will be our shared practice during the visitation at the funeral home.)

Funeral Monday, January 11, 2021 with prayers to begin at 9:00 am from the funeral home chapel and proceed to St. Mary Catholic Church, 10307 Dundee Road, Huntley for a Funeral Mass to be Celebrated at 10:00 a.m.  

Burial will follow at Holy Sepulchre Catholic Cemetery, 6001 W. 111th Street, Alsip, IL (please gather at the cemetery office at 12:45 p.m.)
