Luke J. Cascio

Luke J. Cascio, age 81, of Algonquin (formerly of Hoffman Estates) passed away on March 18, 2021 at home with his loving family at his side. He was born in Rockford, Illinois on November 3, 1939, the son of Luca L. and Frances Rose (Domico) Cascio.

Luke was the longtime owner of Artistic Barbers in Buffalo Grove, IL. He began his barber career at the age of 22 and was an admired, skilled barber for 55 years. He was a great fan of the Cubs, Bears, Bulls, Blackhawks and boxing. He was a devoted and loving husband and family man. He was dearly loved and cherished by his family and friends.

He is survived by his beloved wife of 60 years, Nina (Basile) Cascio, his loving children, Kim (Sam) Anderson, Luke (fiancé Denise Burgess) Cascio, and Tracy Cascio; his cherished grandchildren Jessica (Justin) Ziemke, Kahlee (fiancé Ryan Wallace) Anderson and Matthew and Amanda Cascio; his granddaughter to be Gabrielle Burgess; his great grandchildren Wyatt and Emry Ziemke; his sister in-law Michele (Richard) Allen and Godchildren Ryan and David Allen; his brother Salvatore (Mary Jo) Cascio and sister Rosalie (Lenny) Bagnowski, sister in-law Carmela Cascio, and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, ten siblings and his mother and father in-law.
 

A private celebration of his life will be held at a later date.
