Linda Cecile Paskiewicz (nee Zavacki) passed away on August 10, 2024, in Algonquin, Illinois, at the age of 73. She was born on August 12, 1950, in Chicago, Illinois. Linda was a cherished artist, educator, and founder of Out On A Whim Birdhouses.
Linda's life was marked by her profound dedication to art and teaching. She held a Bachelor's degree from Mundelein College and a Master's degree from Dominican University. Her career in education was distinguished by her creative lesson plans, which she crafted with the same passion and precision that she brought to her artwork. Despite battling rheumatoid arthritis pain for over three decades, Linda's spirit remained unbroken, and she continued to inspire those around her with her resilience and grace.
An avid nature lover, Linda found solace in poetry, her pets, and her craft. Her company, Out On A Whim Birdhouses, was a testament to her creativity, with each birdhouse serving as a unique piece of art. Linda's love for her family was immense, and she is survived by her loving husband, James J. Paskiewicz; daughters, Lauren Roberts and Dana Stone; son-in-law, Joe Roberts; sister, Susan and her husband, M. Ryan Julian; brother, Russell Zavacki and his wife, Karen; and several other cherished family members. She was preceded in death by her father, Ronald Zavacki, and grandparents, Henry and Cecilia Weichbrodt.
A private Celebration of Life Ceremony will be held in her honor. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital in Memphis, Tennessee, a cause close to Linda's heart. Linda's legacy of creativity, love, and resilience will continue to live on through her artworks, the memories she leaves behind, and the lives she touched.
