Linda Ann Brodie

Linda Ann Brodie (Drobny) age 68, of Algonquin passed away at home on November 10, 2022 with her loving family at her side. She was born in Berwyn, Illinois on June 2, 1954 to Andrew and Elizabeth (Kocik) Drobny.

Linda was a dedicated educator having spent over 35 years in District 300. She was a special education teacher before going back to school and becoming a school psychologist. Linda spent the last 10 years as a school psychologist in Gary D. Wright Elementary school in Hampshire. She enjoyed traveling and went on her dream vacation to Alaska with her family in the summer of 2019. Linda was an avid Cubs fan. She enjoyed swimming and was the coach of many area teams including helping start the winter swim team at Dundee Township Park District and Jacobs High School girls and boys swim teams. 

Linda is survived by her two sons, Shawn (Joanna) Brodie and Thomas Brodie and her daughter, Meghan (Nathinel) and their son, Emil Udell; Her mother, Elizabeth Drobny; her sisters, Gail (Mark) Stevens and Carol Drobny; her niece Kaitlin Stevens; and her nephew Clinton Stevens; and her granddaughter, Kaylee Brodie.

Linda was preceded in death by her father, Andrew Drobny.

Visitation for Linda will be held on Sunday, November 13, 2022 from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM along with a Time of Sharing to begin at 5:00 PM all at Willow Funeral Home & Cremation Care 1415 W. Algonquin Rd., (one half mile east of Randall Rd.) Algonquin/Lake in the Hills.

Cremation rites will be accorded privately.
