Kimberly Lynn Koerner

Kimberly Lynn Koerner (Fata) age 52, of Algonquin, Illinois passed December 5, 2022. She was born in Chicago, Illinois on April 1, 1970 to Louis and Maureen (Levy) Fata.

Kimberly was a Consumer Educator for Ideal Consumer Events and truly loved her job and all the “regulars” she would see. She enjoyed reading all the books that her daughter would stack up on her nightstand, and work on jigsaw puzzles and word games with her son. She would attend every sporting event and drive whomever wherever. She was involved at her kids’ schools growing up, and even when her daughter became a teacher she made herself known there too. She cherished her moments with her crazy friends, and never missed a chance to laugh and enjoy a glass of red wine. She was a Koala, Hello Kitty, and McDonald’s Coke lover, and never missed a good sale. She enjoyed the little moments with the love of her life and continuously expressed how lucky she was to be his wife.

Kimberly is survived by her husband, Darrin Koerner; her children, Nicole (fiancé Danny Denz) Koerner and Danny Koerner; her father, Louis Fata; her brother, Brett (Michelle) Fata; her father and mother-in-law, Don and Jan Koerner; her sister-in-law, Deb (Dave) Cummings; her nieces and nephews, Zachary Cummings, Elizabeth Cummings, Casey Fata and Sydney Fata.

Kimberly was preceded in death by her mother, Maureen Fata.

A memorial visitation for Kimberly will be held on Sunday, December 11, 2022 from 1:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Willow Funeral Home & Cremation Care 1415 W. Algonquin Rd., (one half mile east of Randall Rd.), Algonquin/Lake in the Hills.

​Family & friends will gather on Monday, December 12, 2022 directly at St. Margaret Mary Catholic Church, 111 S. Hubbard St., Algonquin for a Funeral Mass to be Celebrated at 11:00 AM.

Inurnment will follow at St. Michael the Archangel Catholic Cemetery in Palatine.
