Karen Louise Richardson

Karen Louise Richardson (Toppert) age 67, of Algonquin Illinois, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on February 22, 2023.  She was born in Sterling, Illinois on March 12, 1956 the beloved daughter of Clyde and Betty (Lewis) Toppert.

She was a faithful employe of the Motorola Solutions Company with 20 years of dedicated service. Karen enjoyed spending her time scrapbooking and cooking meals for her family. “Family” was what Karen cherished the most, she loved being a mom and grandmother. She was loved by many and will be greatly missed. 

Karen is survived by her loving children, Lisa (Eric) Nygren-Riese and Ryan (Michelle) O’Rourke; her devoted grandchildren, Holly, Luke, Lia, Maya, Kai and Carl; her caring siblings, Dana (Christine) Toppert and Todd Toppert.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Jerry Richardson.

Cremation rites were accorded privately.
