Judith M. Dees (McCluskey) age 83, of Carpentersville, Illinois passed away at home surrounded by family on December 31, 2022. She was born in Chicago, Illinois on January 13, 1939 to Bernel and Anne (Emmerich) McCluskey.
Judy was a devoted and loving wife and the best Mom and Granny ever. She was the matriarch of her family and always put family first. Judy was selfless and giving and always made everyone feel at home around her.
Judy was very kind and gracious with everyone she met. She was fun-loving and enjoyed traveling the world, loved ice cream, photography, entertaining family and friends, cooking and being outdoors. Judy had a long career as a Postal worker and she enjoyed a nice retirement spending time with her husband and grandchildren.
She is survived by her devoted children, Anthony (Donna) Dees, Michael (Judy) Dees, Suzanne (David) Potter, June (Len) Samek and Jean Cook. She was a cherished Granny to Eric, Michael, Nicole, Tiffany (Adam), Jessica (Jason), Katie (Andy), Kyle (Dani) Hannah, Ryan, Brett, Ashley (Connor), Kimberly and the late Peyton. She was also the proud “Great-Granny” to Noah, Emma, Carleigh and Wyatt. She is also survived by her brother, Michael (Shirley) McCluskey and her sister, Linda Paraday and also her many nieces & nephews.
In addition to her parents, Judy was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Edgar G. Dees and her sisters, Kathleen Jedlink and Marilyn McCluskey.
Visitation will be held on Friday, January 6, 2023 from 4:00 PM to 9:00 PM at Willow Funeral Home & Cremation Care 1415 W. Algonquin Rd., (one half mile east of Randall Rd.) Algonquin/Lake in the Hills.
Family & Friends will gather on Saturday, January 7, 2023 directly at St. Monica Catholic Church, 90 N. Kennedy Dr., (Rt. 25), Carpentersville for a Funeral Mass to be Celebrated at 1:00 PM.
Cremation rites will be accorded privately. A private family inurnment will be held at a later date at Windridge Memorial Park in Cary.
