Joyce A. Bailey

Joyce A. Bailey (Wajda) age 89, of Huntley, Illinois passed away at the Moraine Ridge Senior Living in Green Bay, Wisconsin on February 24, 2025. She was born in Chicago, Illinois on November 1, 1935 the loving daughter of Stanley and Anna (Zukowski) Wajda.

She worked many years in the flooring industry as a Sales Assistant.  In her later years, she was a crossing guard at an elementary school in Carol Stream, IL.  Her greatest 1st love was her great-grandchildren but next came reading.  She would read a couple books a day.

She is survived by her beloved daughter, Diane (Dale) Molenda; her cherished grandchildren, Donald Bailey Jr., James Bailey, Corinne (Andrew) Hameister and Kimberly Molenda; her proud great-grandchildren, Shaylin and Bennett; her siblings Jean Christopher and Robert (Janice) Wajda.

In addition to her parents, Joyce was preceded in death by her loving husband, Hugh “Bill” Bailey; her beloved son, Donald Bailey Sr. and her brother-in-law, Lou Christopher.

Visitation and funeral service will be held on Saturday, March 1, 2025 from 8:00 a.m. until time of an 11:30 a.m. prayer service at Willow Funeral Home 1415 W. Algonquin Rd., (one half mile east of Randall Rd.) Algonquin/Lake in the Hills.

Interment Queen of Heaven Cemetery. (please meet in front of the cemetery office at 1:15 p.m. of Queen of Heaven Catholic Cemetery, 1400 S. Wolf Rd., Hillside, please enter the cemetery entrance from Wolf Rd.).
