Joe was my Uncle Bernie's brother (Bernie married my mother's sister) I only met him a few times, but one that stands out is when we were staying at his house in Illinois and I had to get up at 6 a.m. on a Sunday to catch an early flight. It was Joe's brthday and he got up to make me breakfast. R.I.P.
