Joanne J. Keiss

Joanne J. Keiss (Nickels) formerly, Joanne Ellison age 88, of Lake in the Hills since 1968 passed away on July 23, 2021 at Northwestern-Medicine Hospital in Huntley, Illinois.

She was born in Chicago, Illinois on October 24, 1932 the daughter of Edward and Helen (Berberich) Nickels.

Joanne is survived by her loving children, Howard (Linda) Keiss, Kevin (Dawn) Ellison, David Keiss, Kerry (Linda) Ellison, Kirby (Cindy) Ellison, Neil (Gerda) Keiss, Karen Idle and Diane (Albert) Berkowski; Joanne is also survived by her many loved grandchildren and great-grandchildren; her brother, James (Kris) Nickels; she was also a dear aunt to many nieces & nephews.

In addition to her parents, Joanne was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Howard J. Keiss; her sons Keith (Jeanine) Ellison and Timothy (Nancy) Keiss; her grandchildren, Kyle Ellison and Marilyn Keiss; her brother, Edward (the late Karen) Nickels.

A visitation for Joanne will be held on Monday, August 2, 2021 from 8:30 AM to 11:00 AM at Willow Funeral Home 1415 W. Algonquin Rd., (one mile east of Randall Rd.,) Algonquin/Lake in the Hills, where a chapel service will be held at 11:00 AM in the funeral home chapel that morning.

Interment will follow at Windridge Memorial Park in Cary.
