Jared Lee Oban

Jared Lee Oban, age 31, of Champaign, Illinois formerly of Fox River Grove, Illinois passed away on August 5, 2022. He was born in Evanston, Illinois on March 24, 1991.

He was a graduate of Barrington High School in Barrington, Illinois and Belmont University in Nashville, Tennessee. Jared had a passion for new tech, science, and some of life’s biggest questions, as we saw through his development of many YouTube and Social Media platforms and channels. He worked on many teams helping accomplish this, including Discovery, Seeker, Little Monsters Media, Super Bam, and Life Noggin, a company he co-founded and developed.  

Jared loved the outdoors and animals, especially his cats. He was ever the comedian, and enjoyed making his life about humor and making others laugh. More than any of this, Jared loved being there for his family and friends, and encouraged them to reach their highest potential. Jared was loved by, and a friend to many. He will be dearly missed.

He is survived by his parents, James and Suzanne (Daley) Oban; his brother Alec James Oban; his maternal grandmother Karen Daley; his aunts and uncles, Bruce (Karen) Oban, Terrance (Rachel) Oban, Marla (Bill) Mengarelli, Carol Oban, Sharon (Robert) Mullins and Jean (Tim) Mead, Virginia (Joe) Lewis, Debra (Antonio) Marriel and Lori Daley; also his 16 cousins and many second cousins.

Jared was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Roger Daley, his paternal grandparents, Harold and Helen Oban, his uncle, Steven Daley, and also his cousin, Tyler Oban.

A memorial visitation for Jared will be held on Saturday, August 13, 2022 from 9:00 AM to 12 noon along with a Time of Sharing to begin at 11:30AM that morning all at Willow Funeral Home & Cremation Care 1415 W. Algonquin Rd., (one half mile east of Randall Rd.) Algonquin/Lake in the Hills.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the family to be used for several organizations in Jared's name.
