James E. Thompson

James E. Thompson passed away peacefully June 22, 2026. Born January 11, 1940 in Charleston, West Virginia.  

Beloved husband of the late Alice Thompson; loving father of James E. ( Shawn L.) Thompson and Pamela (Larry) McCullagh; caring grandfather of Scott J. (Tiffany) Thompson, Matt J. (Samantha) Thompson, Shannan R. McCullagh, Ryan L. McCullagh, Dillon J. McCullagh and Emily K. McCullagh; proud great grandfather of Aidan (Danikah), Gavin, Zachary, Alice, Owen, Preston, Brooklyn, Elena and Jackson; fond brother of Nitchel Thompson Jr., Frieda Kirk, the late Linda Petry and the late Charlotte Barker.

James was a very loving father, grandfather, and great grandfather.  He enjoyed spending his time, gardening, fishing and hunting.  James was also dedicated to his faith and a very hard worker.  He was loved by many and will be greatly missed.

A visitation will be held for James E Thompson, Tuesday, July 7, 2026 from 4 to 9 PM at Willow Funeral Home. A time to share memories will begin at 7 PM.  Interment will be held privately.
