James Kevin Casey age 89, of Algonquin passed away on August 7, 2021. He was born in Flushing, New York on July 28, 1932 to Alphonsus Burke and Irene Gertrude (Hefferman) Casey.
He was an avid Chicago Bears and Chicago Cubs fan. He enjoyed bowling and loved life especially spending time with his grandchildren to the fullest.
He was a proud member of International Union of Operating Engineers Local 150.
James is survived by his beloved wife of 69 years, Constance Ann (Cain) Casey, who he married on August 2, 1952. He is also survived by his loving sons, James Kevin Casey, Jr. and Richard (Christine) Casey; his proud grandchildren, Jessica (Michael) Morrison, Nicole Casey, James Kevin Casey III, Patricia Casey (Andrew Slythe and Elizabeth (Joseph) Vietri; his cherished six great-grandchildren; his sister, Clare Phillips and his brother, Robert (Donna) Casey.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sisters, Patricia Hatfield, Sharon Weimar, Mary Louise Nolan and his brother, John Casey.
A private family graveside service will be held at Windridge Memorial Park in Cary.
In lieu of flowers, the Casey family is requesting memorial contributions be directed to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital in Memphis, TN.
Willow Funeral Home in Algonquin is assisting the family with all arrangements.
