Jacob Juan Martinez

Jacob Juan Martinez apprentice electrician resident of Lake in the Hills, Illinois unexpectedly passed away on September 3, 2022 at the age of 19, while a passenger in a car. 

Jacob is survived by his loving parents; mother, Maria G. (Kevin Glover) and father, Jose J. Sr. (Alma) Martinez; his siblings, Jose Juan Jr. (Eryka Marie) Martinez. Sienna Abigail Martinez, Cytha Cassandra Martinez and Emma Ofelia Lianito; his beloved Grandparents, Delfina Martinez, Daniel Sr. Martinez and Martha Nunez and Ofelia Barraza, Jesus Gonzalez, Roseleah Glover; aunts & uncles, Ana Quiroz (Juan Quiroz), Manuela Rubio (Juan Cisneros), Olga Peña (Eloy Peña), Yvette Rubio, Alonso Nava (Kelly Nava) Kevin Nava, Teresa Martinez (Victor Ramirez), Daniel Junior Martinez and preceded by his Great-Grandmother, Teresa Castillo and uncles, Cirilo Martinez, Saul Martinez and Adam Martinez and sibling, Jimmy Jesus Martinez. 

His loving nephew and nieces, Jose Juan III Martinez, Catalya Maria Martinez, S.S. Chevelle Martinez also survived by many loving cousins and dear friends. 

Jacob was born in Hoffman Estates , Illinois on December 8, 2002. He started at Huntley High School and graduated from Jacob’s High School class of 2021. He was preparing to work with the Local Union Electric after having applied. He worked for Independent Electric Inc. in Waconda, IL. 

Jacob was known for his big heart, respectful manner, and contagious smile. He was known as a leader. Jacob’s family was a priority to him, if he wasn’t working towards his goal as an electrician, you’d see him with family. Known as a hard worker he had recently purchased his first new vehicle. He and his family were so proud of his accomplishments. Jacob was looking forward to his future. He often quoted “The world is yours.” 

Visitation for Jacob will be held on Friday, September 9, 2022 from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Willow Funeral Home 1415 W. Algonquin Rd., (one half mile east of Randall Rd.) Algonquin/Lake in the Hills, along with a "Special Talk of Hope" that will be given by Uncle Mark Emfinger, that evening at 7:00 PM in the funeral home chapel.

Funeral Saturday, September 10, 2022 beginning at 9:00 AM from the Willow Funeral Home chapel and proceed to Dundee Twp. Cemetery - East in East Dundee for an 11:00 AM Graveside Service.

In lieu of flowers, the family would prefer memorial trees to be planted In Loving Memory of Jacob.
