Helen G. Hopp

Helen G. (Rudsinski) Hopp, of Algonquin, Illinois passed away Thursday, June 19, 2025, at the age of 99 at the Clarendale of Algonquin.

Helen was born October 5, 1925, in Algonquin, IL to Arthur and Frieda (Hultz) Rudsinski. 

Helen married Leo P. Hopp of Algonquin on September 1, 1945.  Leo passed away on June 28, 2003.

Helen was a lifelong resident of Algonquin.  She worked along with her late husband Leo as a dairy farmer.  She was a lifelong member of St. John’s Lutheran Church in Algonquin, IL where she taught Sunday School for 30+ years. And she was a preschool teacher’s aide at the Carpentersville Park District for several years.  She loved to crochet, sew, and bake.

Survivors include her daughters, Myra (Glenn) Olofson of Algonquin, Elaine Hopkins of Carpentersville, Janet Ford of Lake in the Hills., and Ellen (Roger) Olsen of Dekalb, 9 grandchildren, and 13 Great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband Leo Hopp, a daughter, Joanne Reemer, and sons-in-law, Allen Reemer and Lloyd Hopkins, Jr., six brothers, Harry, Albert, William, Leonard, Earl, Clifford (all Rudsinski), and four sisters, Lula (Marwood), Alice (Keisler), Vera (Beu), and Lois (Smith).

A funeral service will be held Wednesday, June 25, 2025, at 11:00 AM at St. John’s Lutheran Church, 300 Jefferson St, Algonquin, IL.

Interment following funeral service will be private.
